I’m going to let you in on a little secret of the Ixion Revolution universe.

If you’re familiar with mythology (or if you’ve read the literary quotes at the bottom of the series landing page) you know that Ixion was a character eternally tormented upon a wheel. Pretty gruesome.

There are fundamentally two kinds of people in the Ixion Revolution universe. Those who realize the mythological significance of Ixion, and those who are so wrapped up in Silicon Valley that they’re oblivious to it.

Those who realize the mythological significance pronounce it ik-SIGH-un.

Those who would willingly start a company with that name, pronounce it IX-ee-on. This frequently leads to situations absurd to those in the former group. For example, Ixion employees are called “wheelbearers” and the company logo (and headquarters) looks like a giant wheel.

So how do you pronounce “Ixion Revolution”?

I leave it up to you, the reader, to figure out which characters align with which sides of the awareness divide.
